On the 1st November 2006, Howle Holdings and
accordingly Howle Carbides, were acquired by Elektron Plc. Elektron
are a UK based manufacturing company with manufacturing plants and/or
offices in the UK, USA, Africa and China.
The purchase of Howle enables Elektron to expand its
manufacturing base in specialised mechanical components. The forward
focus is to enhance manufacturing facilities in the UK for the continuation
of supply of quality Tungsten Carbide Wear Parts and Inserts. In
addition to this, we will take advantage of Elektron's global network of
businesses to supplement existing products and increase market share.
